A Huge Makeover

Hey everyone,
I hardly have any time to write , since I have to work so much, so whenever I do, I will write big big blogs :)

This blog will mainly be about the makeover we have done around the house. We practically had nothing in our house, and now we are almost finished with it, So the hard work (mostly Bas's hard work) was worth it.

If you don't remember, we started with this living room:

Well we had no floor (Concrete flooring that is), hardly any furniture, and a lot of place.

Well, first we got the floor, but that was in my previous blog.
Than we got a 2 seater couch, a coffee table, and a side table:

And this fantastic dining room table with 4 beautiful contry style chairs, which I adore...

After a month of really hard work, travelling and stress, we got some more money, and we went back to my favorite store (IKEA) .Where we got 4 Billy's (2 Narrow ones, and 2 wide ones), a beautiful Hemens table, and a really big widescreen TV. I felt like in Heaven. and added some flowers which I adore :)

Beautiful, isn't it?

Oh and here are some different angle:

I am so proud of my husband , he built our whole housy from  scratch ,Thank you angel. (He got a PS3 as a gift! , and he lovveees it, though I nag him to not play so much, but that's ok).

As you can see, my house color theme is: White, Gray and my favorite color in the whole world (Turquoise), I decorated everything according to that color theme...

I don't really like the color of the staircase we have, but for now, we left it like that, and decorated the room underneath it. Here is the result (of course with the kind help of a BILLY CD and some EXPEDIT from the IKEA)
I got the white and turquoise boxes from the Zeeman, that's a cheap shop here in Holland which sells nice cheap things. I got these 3 for 3 Euros, that is a bargain !

He actually did all the work:

What a whole lot of work it was! I'm so proud of him! he's my friend!

poor thing looks so tired...

Here I come to save the day...

Hallo!

 OMG! LOOK AT THAT

He Literally worked his ass off...

And Opa helped to tear all the cartons and put them away in trash bags, I couldn't cause I have too small hands!

Than my friend crashed on the couch, poor thing!

Oh no...
He is checking out the M&M's on the table...

They also look a bit surprised of the huge amount of work this fellow pulled off!

That they immediately jumped to the bowl...

Then he got some more power, and did the whole Billy's cabinets...

And it became dark, but so homey!

I made my friend nice dinner, so he can eat and rest!

Our first Dinner on a propare table, this felt amazing...

Look how nice it is...

I love him so much! Thanks again friend for making our housy!

Some free time with the PS3:

As you can see, I put my Muppets here as well, I hope that next year the Albert Heijn will have that sale again and I can get the rest of the muppets...

By Now, we have another 3 seater, which we made into a little corner, and I put plants next to it :

I love flowers, so in the last couple of weeks, my angel friend bought me all kinds of plants and flowers: here they are:

And this is his last renovation project: The counter.
We have a small counter that is part of our open kitchen. Since we had a huge amount of Vinyl left from the floor being done, we decided to put it on the counter, and there goes my man to make it nice!!!

This is how it looks before:

On the work, and opa helped with taping everything :)

Some double sided carpet glue...

Some patching up with the left overs...

And here it is, beautiful isn't it?

And here is the craftsman... (he actually doesn't understand how talented he is!)

We went out 2 days ago to eat dinner at the beach, just the two of us.
So we went to Scheveningen, which is near The Hague. I actually use the same Tram that goes to the beach to go to my work, and it's only like 3 stops away, but we never took time to do that...
So we went to the beach. The beach in Holland is different than the beach in Israel, since it's way colder, so people don't really go in.
There are shops all around, but I found one special shop:

The heaven shop!
Chocolade... yum yum yum.

They were so good!

Then we sat, me and my friend, relaxing at the beach, it was so nice, and there was music, bery nice one indeed!

My friend was very happy!

And so was I...

A kissy on the head always helps.

For a long time now, Bas asked me to eat Mussled with him... so I did, it was weird, but so tasty, not like anything I have eaten before...

That was the most perfect beginning to a perfect weekend with my friend.

See you all soon, and I love you NOKI!
